Gujarat, Odisha, and Rajasthan announced that the vaccine would be made free for all between the ages of 18 and 44. Maharashtra too has announced a free vaccine for those above 18, but a formal notice is yet to be issued.

CEO Adar Poonawalla has said on Saturday that it is inaccurate to compare global pricing with Indian pricing since it is based on order volume, and that “COVISHIELD is the most affordable COVID-19 vaccines available in the market today”.
A cabinet meeting today led by BS Yediyurappa may implement lockdown-like restrictions for a 7-day period, according to an inside source. Several ministers across the state have been demanding another lockdown despite objections from the Centre.
