Government and other state board schools will reopen for the new academic session on Thursday, but for the second year in a row, students will be deprived of on-campus classes. Classes will begin virtually, but teachers are skeptical of attendance.
Teachers have been asked to follow up on students using digital means and identify the accessibility of each student to gadgets. They then must divide them into groups based on the availability of internet, phones, television, and radio. For those with no access to any of these communication means, teachers have to ask parents to identify neighbours who own such devices.
