Free vaccination will resume for all above the age of 18 years from Tuesday, weeks after it was put on hold following a brief 12-day drive in May. Vaccination will restart from Wednesday for Mumbai, due to scheduling issues. Urging the youth to get vaccinated, public health minister Rajesh Tope has said the decision to open up for all above the age of 18 years was taken to generate momentum for inoculation. Only about 34 lakh people between the ages of 18 and 44 have gotten vaccinated since May, out of the nearly 6 crore eligible citizens in the state.
